Valentines Day is a day of love and a day where lovers have the wonderful opportunity of showing their love to that someone special. It isn’t just for lovers though, it is for anyone who is deserving of that love, a child, a parent, a friend, a family member, a coworker a fellow church member.
You know Ol Pastor Barney never had much of a problem in telling others that he loved them, just like us though, sometimes it was a little embarrassing when others noticed that love. I think we are all like that a little bit, maybe we are a little embarrassed to say, ‘I love you,’ or to hold hands in public, or to even give that hug.
We can learn a lot from Barn on this, he is willing to go that extra mile and use those important 3 words, ‘I love you,’ but better than that, he is willing to show it in unique and special ways. Are we? Are we willing to tell and show our friends at church, at work, in our family, or even our spouse or lover? Why or why not?
What do you think? Can you share special tender moments of how others have showed you love, or how you have maybe showed someone else love? Why celebrate this love on just one day of the year? Heck, ol Barn showed those he loved every day he was alive. Maybe we can do the same.

The Virtual Pew and our other work is supported solely by the kind contributions of others. You can click on the donate button below to give any amount to this work that does so much more than just post articles on the net; I draw no ongoing salary from the church I pastor, Mosaic Wichita which is predominantly a homeless church; I am grateful for any small amount you can contribute to help with this ministry. Believe me there is much more going on than most realize. I will also provide information to verify the ministry and income that comes into this ministry and work. Thanks and feel free to share any material from The Virtual Pew, I only ask that appropriate credit is given and a link to the original site with the materials provided.
