Sermons from Barney Fife, Using Your Gifts In Leading

The Bible talks about how God has given each person a giftedness of some type. That’s right; each of us has something about us that is unique, and of value to others. One of the things we can learn from Barney Fife is not only his enthusiasm to teach the things he knows, but the reality that sometimes he may be doing things he is not gifted at. Having the desire to do something, to have something, doesn’t mean it is something we should be doing. Sometimes knowing when to pass on certain responsibilities is just as important as knowing when to do the things we are good at. Here are some questions for today; what is it that you have a passion for? Are there components of that passion that would be better if someone around you were to do those things? Are people willing to follow your leading? Is it possible that reoccurring mistakes might mean there is something about what you are doing that would be better for others to do?

Watch today’s clip; add in anything you can learn from the Barney Fife Sermon today.
