A number of years ago I lived at Jesus People USA (JPUSA) in Chicago for a short period of time. I loved it; my wife wasn’t so used to the rules. One of the great memories of JPUSA is everyday at lunch, we had Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches, soup, and Dannon Yogurt. I don’t think anyone ever gets tired of PBJ’s
Today Ol’ Pastor Barney Fife teaches the youth of society on the importance of being a good citizen and not following a life of crime. He even talks about PBJ’s in that valuable lesson. As you watch the video today, I would ask, what are you doing to help your fellow citizens, your friends, neighbors, and even the children of the community? Do you take an interest in those around you to the point that you are willing to become inoculated? In a world where people ask: “Am I my brothers’ keeper?” I would remind you of the response Jesus gave, “You betcha!”
